Different Avenues of Artistic Expression
Alanna Dotson, a multifaceted artist currently living in Florence, Italy, divides her time between various disciplines. She is a photographer, mixed media artist, interior designer, writer and illustrator of children's books, and art teacher. Her photography focuses on the essence of the subject in color or black and white. She doesn't search for the perfect photograph nor does she use any photo editing programs. In her mixed media art uses a combination of acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, found objects, writing, caulking, photography, and various other materials and textures. Artscapes by Alanna is an ongoing journey into her artistic escapes.
